About us

Hi, my name is Oscar A. Kirk and I’m the sole founder and worker in OAK Studio.

This woodshop was founded five years ago as a place where people could order and expect one-of-a kind wooden furniture made from love, passion and good craftsmanship. 

My love for wood started as a young kid. I would spend most of my time helping my dad in his workshop. He worked as a carpenter, but also spend his free time making chairs, drawers, plates, whatever he could make out of wood. His knowlegde sparked my joy for the craft and was fundamental in my later education where I also worked to become a carpenter. 

I made enough connections over the years working as a carpenter under different teachers, that I could eventually start my own business and that is how OAK Studio was born.
